Ok, going through the parses, in order to get that last 3 - 4% of Shannox that we weren't able to get last night, we need to handle Magma Rupture better. That is what was doing us in last night. So, to break it down for you guys. When he gets into phase 2 (sub-30%), he starts doing Magma Rupture. This does about 50k fire damage and increases fire damage taken by 40% for 1 minute and it stacks. As you can see, this is what was 1-shotting everyone on the 3rd cast. By that time, he was around 5% or so, so basically, we've got to figure out a way to survive that 3rd Magma Rupture. For the 3rd Magma Rupture, in a word, COOLDOWNS!!! After the second one, everyone has to get topped off and be at full health for when the 3rd one hits. Healers will be popping cooldowns after the second one to make sure everyone in the raid gets topped off. And everyone needs to pop a cooldown for when the 3rd one hits. And I mean everyone! If you've got a cooldown, make sure it is up for that 3rd Magma Rupture. Barkskin, Dispersion, Ice Block, Shield Wall, AMS, Shamanistic Rage, Shield Bubble. . . whatever we've got, we have got to make sure we have it up and available for that 3rd rupture. We survive that 3rd rupture and we've got ourselves a kill. That's all it's going to take folks!

Oh a couple other things. . .
We are going to save heroism for just after the second rupture to help healers get everyone topped off and to make that final push in the home stretch.
Also, Kanwulf is tanking Shannox at this point in time and we do have Xephion healing, is there some kind of bubble he can toss onto Kanwulf to clear his Magma Rupture stacks? It doesn't clear the threat he has on Shannox does it? He'd have to be quick about clearing it, but there is a pally bubble that works that way, right?

This line of posts should probably be its own thread, rather than buried in here. The paladin stack-clearing bubble (Hand of Protection) does drop threat, and generally shouldn't be used in active-tanking situations. Kan could, theoretically, click-off the shield and taunt Shannox (if Shannox is even tauntable), but that has some rather obvious hazards. Kanwulf and Harock can use Rallying Cry as a raid-wide Last Stand (well, Kan can if he hasn't used Last Stand already during the attempt - they're on the same CD). That won't clear the stacks, though. Edit: Just took a look, Kan and Rock were using both Rallying Cry and Last Stand during attempts.

Thanks Jerry, peciate the upload. Don't often get to see breakdowns for Ronnigan, and *really* don't get to see him in the same raid as another Fury Warrior (and a higher-hit Fury warrior at that). Hella informative.

Grats Guys!!!
Sorry I wasn't very on top of my game last night. Especially toward the end of my time there. Fighting the remnants of a sinus infection and I was fading fast.

8/26/2011: FirelandsSome really solid attempts on Beth'tilac. We've got the mechanics down on this one, we were consistantly getting into the final phases, just need to find the balance of who we can send upstairs and how many we need downstairs. Beyond that, we need about 10 - 15% more dps from everyone and we will be right there. Not sure if I mentioned it last Friday or not (I was sick towards the end of last week and over the week-end), but wanted to say very nice improvement overall. The past couple of weeks has shown a noticable increase in performance and gear from most everyone. Still have a couple raiders out there with some holes in the purchasable valor gear department, but for the most part, I can really see an honest effort being made from week to week. Keep it up and we'll continue to push over bosses in Firelands and that means less randoms you'll need to run to get that valor capped!
