Heartbreaking yes, but at the same time, we definitely made enormous strides towards getting him down.

Just wanted to say that I thought we did a really nice job for our first ICC-25 venture. Thanks Horo for organizing, and thanks to everyone else for bringing their A games .

Just wanted to say that I thought we did a really nice job for our first ICC-25 venture. Thanks Horo for organizing, and thanks to everyone else for bringing their A games . Wanted to second this because it warrents repeating. My hats off to you guys for putting together a 25 man. It's not an easy task and if I could hand out achievements to you guys for it, I would. Also wanted to toss out a big thank you to everyone that helped me blitz Rodni up through the heroics and such to get him geared and ready for our ICC10 group and even this ICC25. Hopefully the numbers are proof enough of the fruits of everyone's labor. Thanks a ton for all of your help!

your team is taking considerably less damange from frostbolt volley then our team was. Last time we were excellent in avoiding the exploding Blistering zombies, but the slow affect and damange of those frostbolts are killing us.
What was the time to go from marrowgar to where you finished?

From the log it looks like Lord Marrowgar was killed around 12:06 AM and the raid went until about 2:20 or so.
These guys made the Dreamwalker fight look easy. We had 1 tank and 3 healers. The priest and shaman healer went into portals while the druid healer stayed out and healed the raid. I think the druid healer was the only one to heal the raid while the priest and shaman concentrated on the dragon. I'd have to check the logs to confirm this, but that was the instructions.
The strat and kill order is pretty much what we use, but obviously, the interupts and burning down of the ice mages and fire mages was spot on. The hunter would burn/kite the blistering zombie while other range dropped it, aboms were tanked facing away, supressors were AoE'd down. . . nothing that we don't do, but it was obvious that they have seen this fight a lot more then me because everyone was just doing what needed to get done.
We need more face time on this one, so that people get comfortable with what they are suppose to do and just do it with little to no direction from the RL. Vent was suprisingly quiet with the expception of calling out what was coming from which side.

We have the mechanics down.
Only reason we are not winning at this point is DPS.
When we had 1 more dps we lasted 5:07.
We have to kill the adds faster
Our longest run compared to twilight's one shot.
Ordin 7294.3 Strykerwolf 6932.2 Shirokishi 5659.4 Shirotama 6461.7 Adisan 5693.5 Ronelo 5590.6 Phixeon 3680.8 Rhyvorian 2896.0
Horothio 3169.1 Osilly 4148.6 Vigofortuna 3202.1 Ebonsprocket 2716.4 Harock 2486.7 Kateli 2554.8 Stormmbring 2736.1 Tarabeth 2700.5
Another concerning item is that we lasted 5:07 on our last attempt.
And Twilight was able to down the boss in 4:18 sec.
Which mean we really need to be able to devote two healers just to the dragon.
going to try and do alot more research before monday.

So Horo and Ordin have to be relatively close in gearscore (10% difference maybe? they logged out in the wrong gear for me to compare...). Why is Ordin doing more than twice the damage that Horo did?

Because I'm missing two tier pieces, and don't use macro's like Ordin. My dps should be much better.

But so should mine. I can pull like 5 to 7 on a boss... I figured our DPS would be lower because of all the movement and inability to use our rotations, but Ordin's group everyone is doing crazy DPS. What part of our button pushing are we messing up?

So Horo and Ordin have to be relatively close in gearscore (1 IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR GEARSCORE IS ... sorry, muscle memory reaction post.

Only reason we are not winning at this point is DPS. Another concerning item is that we lasted 5:07 on our last attempt. And Twilight was able to down the boss in 4:18 sec. Which mean we really need to be able to devote two healers just to the dragon. You need two dedicated healers on Dreamwalker. The reason you're not winning isn't "DPS," per se. It's HPS. One healer (or one dedicated and a "sometimes I'll throw a heal in the dragon's general direction" healer) will not put enough healing on the Dragon. If the fight goes more than 5-6 minutes, the waves will overwhelm you and you'll lose. That's the enrage mechanic. Sure, you can say "we're not doing enough DPS on the adds, and so they're doing more damage, so the raid requires more healing than they otherwise should," but really, that's every fight.

Saying gearscore is meaningless is a little disingenuous, right? I mean... if we decked everyone out in t7, we wouldn't have much luck. My point is that there is a small variation between the power of their gear, but a large variation between their DPS. I mean, I'm not this guy. I was trying to point out that this doesn't seem to be a gear issue but rather a skill issue. Edit : reread your post. When we tried with two healers on Dreamwalker, the adds overwhelmed us within 15 seconds. When we switched to one healer on the boss, we could handle the adds, but obviously we didn't have enough heals on it before the adds overwhelmed us. I thought our DPS would be lower, but not as low as it appears to Ordin's group. There is a dps issue that I dont understand.
