Yea, been keeping up on the game changes and such that are coming with this. Probably gonna re-sub for it and try it out when it's released... been actually thinking about resubbing a bit early and playing a bit more right now. Not sure if I'll actually pull that trigger (Skyrim has been helping me scratch that itch), but it has definitely been on my mind.

Is this Illidan again? "You are STILL not prepared!"

Not sure if I'll actually pull that trigger (Skyrim has been helping me scratch that itch), but it has definitely been on my mind. I *very* occasionally think about resubbing to play, mostly when something reminds me of something that happened in game and I get to thinking about ol' Donnigan the Humble. But I ain't got the time or wherewithal at the moment. Or the money. I figure I'll probably resub in much the same way I've resubbed for the last couple expansions - 3 months, get to the level cap, dink around a bit, and don't renew when it runs out. But then this isn't slated to come out until "Summer 2016," so who knows where I'll be then? Is this Illidan again? "You are STILL not prepared!" etc. My exact response was "Oh hey it's Illidan again, WE ARE STILL NOT PREPARED!" But really the BC cinematic was best cinematic. Also I'm kinda curious what happens at the end of Draenor that Guldan is still poking around. Not curious enough to resubscribe and play up to that level, because shit man I got bills and a kid and shit, but I'm curious enough to kinda half think about watching cinematics on YouTube at some point maybe.

I could be wrong, but my favorite cinematics were the ones where they'd spotlight each of the classes. The dwarf hunter in the original, that blood elf warlock (?) and undead voodoo guy in BC, etc. It was like "Here's how bad ass you're dude is going to be! Aren't you psyched!"
The last few cinematics have all been about the NPCs. I guess the pandas had a paladin, orc warrior and panda monk, but that wasn't a spotlight on each class. It was more like "Aren't our NPCs cool? Don't you want to watch them do cool stuff?" Really didn't get me enthused.
All this is a moot point because I'm probably not subscribing again (but I do miss raiding with you guys. If only there weren't 15 levels between starting playing again and getting to raid with you)

Broadly speaking, I concur, though I really think only the Burning Crusade ( YOU ARE NOT PREPARED) cinematic was about the PCs. That was probably the biggest of the expansions, being the first and introducing two new races (Blood Elves and Space Goats). The later trailers were more about "the story" or "lore" ( Wrath[, Cataclysm, Draenor) or about "the new stuff" ( Pandas). Which is mostly fine in my book, since at that point, the player is probably familiar with the player's role in all this. In my opinion: Wrath, BC, Draenor, Pandas, then maybe a couple trailers for Adam Sandler movies, then Cataclysm. Cata struck me as very "emo teenage boy wrote this dialogue and recorded it with a voicebox." I think we've had this conversation before. I'm pretty firmly in the "may subscribe but need to be made of the opinion that it's worthwhile. I don't miss the game *at all* unless I'm specifically reminded of it. Like there was a small twinge when I watched a couple of the trailers just now, because I remembered being excited for those expansions. Like, if I read up about this one as it draws nearer, I might get excited about it, but I'm not sure I'll even be arsed to read up about it, and I couldn't tell you for sure I'd be excited about it when I do. I still haven't finished Borderlands 2.

Wrath was probably my favorite cinematic. I really liked the double meaning behind what Arthas's father was saying while they showed him doing his lich king stuff. Knowing the back story of Arthas and what his father was talking about and how they put that do the lich king's actions really captured my attention. I'm not really sure I can narrow down a specific expansion as my favorite... I had favorites for specific reasons, but I don't really have a single favorite expansion. Vanilla was where I got my start in raiding with Molten Core. Hitting max level was huge, getting a purple was worth standing in the middle of Ironforge with to show it off. Getting epics really meant something back then. BC was my favorite expansion as a shadow priest. I loved playing that support role and being a mana battery... as a shadow priest character, that was the highest of the high for me. Wrath and Cata was the era of raiding with/as Frost Donkey... beyond any doubt, my favorite raiding time. I had fun raiding with MoK, Darkfist and some of the other groups I've been a part of, but Frost Donkey will always be my favorite. I loved raiding with that group of amazing people. Pandas, umm yea, not a big fan of this expansion outside of the questing. Questing and lore was pretty cool, some of the raiding was pretty fun, but in general, really didn't enjoy this expansion mainly because of what they did with daily quests, the talent tree and the shadow priest class. Warlords, loved this expansion as well, but I really got my hopes up about raiding and when it just didn't get off the ground it deflated the experience for me. I actually enjoyed being grounded for the expansion (I know you can fly now). It was nice getting back to not being allowed to drop in, grab my stuff and fly out. The fight mechanics of what raiding I did was fun, the questing was great, the story was fun, the boost to 90 was done well and I really liked the Stonghold stuff... even really enjoyed the 5 man dungeons. I usually get burnt out on those pretty quickly, but not so much with this one. As far as Legoin goes, I'm looking forward to the expansion and will probably do the same thing I did with Warlords... re-sub a couple weeks before the expansion, get back into it some and ready for Legion to hit and then try it out and see how it goes. I'm probably not gonna do a Demon Hunter right out of the gate, I'm gonna go with Ordin (he'll always be my first love ), but I'm also liking the changes I'm seeing with the enhancement shaman and guardian druid. The artifact weapons are looking pretty good.

Actually, since you mention it, I think my "favorite cinematics" list pretty closely mirrors my "favorite expansions" list. I might flip BC and Draenor, with the caveat that I played the entirety of BC a long time ago, and played like basically to the level cap in Draenor last year. I didn't play long enough to *really* get bored of it, like I did with BC. I did play long enough to see how I was gonna get bored with it, though. I just had the good sense to get out while the getting was good.

Yay I finally beat the first playthrough of Borderlands 2! Welcome to 2012, me!
As I understand it, I can now play through the game again at increased difficulty, or possibly do some DLC stuff that I bought along with the game. I have no idea what's "level appropriate." It was two full months between my last two log-ons. But I'm not paying monthly, so who cares?
