In the last few days I've read about bees and grub rot, golden digger wasp behavior, and now aphids. Look at me, I should move to Minnesota and grow a beard.
Anyway, aphids are clones. Since they don't reproduce sexually, the DNA in each cell of their body is identical to that in each cell of their sister-clones' bodies. They are a single genetic entity, an organism spread over multiple bodies.

Statistics! This is a neat little 10 minute talk on how we can save the earth from overpopulation. I really liked the animated statistics towards the end. Really made it very clear the processes he was trying to explain. Yay science!
