Autocannons:
The AC 2 does 2 damage, but has a very long range and quick reload time. The AC 20 does 20 damage, has very short range and long reload time. The AC 10 and 5 are in between respectively
The Ultra AC 5 is an AC 5 but will fire double shots if you hold the mouse button down, BUT it jams like a bitch and I hate it.
The LBX10 is an AC 10, but instead of firing a single shell that does 10 points of damage, it fires 10 shells that each do 1 point of damage in a wide spread. I like it a lot.

It's a double XP weekend, in case anyone still tinkers with this game. They've also recently released the Spider light mech.

I know I know , "play tanks!" but just wanted to say I'm still playing this. The last major change they made was their matchmaking system. Now you get into games with people of the same skill level. It's been a much better experience lately! I actually had a few moments where I performed like a bad ass rather than my usual "background extra" since I'm up against people who are just as terrible as me.

I don't. Had some good games with my Atlas last night. I've also made it to the third tier of all three of my Cataphracts, working on getting that last module slot for my sniper to get the enhanced zoom.

Talked to mark at his wedding and we chatted about Mechwarrior Online. I also happened to find this video today. Skip ahead to 1:00 when the action starts. The pilot is protecting an Atlas, so you get a good view of how the game plays out. At about 3 minutes in, things start to get nuts and the pilot has to zoom out and worry about saving his own skin, so things get back to the frenetic pace most MWO videos take and it's hard to tell what's going on, but things calm back down at 4 minutes or so.

Hello! This is mostly for Mark, because he might be vaguely interested. Mark! Remember how the original awesome Battlemechs were removed from the game because if licensing? They were called the Unseen. 10 years later FASA try to reintroduce them by updating the art, making them Reseen. Sadly, the robot drawers at FASA at the time sucked ass, so the Reseen looked like shit compared to the Unseen versions. Mechwarrior Online is releasing some of the original mechs again, but they are taking the crappy Reseen designs and updating them so they look a bit more like the Unseen. I like how they are turning out.

How did I miss this? Those mechs look great!!! Much better than the Project Phoenix reboots from FanPro.

I'm still playing this. I really like it. I tried tanks again. It was fun... but the siren song of a 70 ton crushbot drew me back to MWO. None of you have played it in months right? And no intention of trying it? FOOLS!
